If you’ve spent any time around a PET blow molder, you know the struggle. One wrong move with your heat distribution and you’re looking at stress-whitening or, worse, melted preforms. We don’t do “close enough.” We focus on the actual physics of short-wave radiation so the heat goes exactly where it needs to. The nitty-gritty on specs Most Aoki machines run on high-wattage quartz tubes. We make sure our voltage and wattage ratings hit the mark for your specific power supply. Think about it: if you shove a 2500W tube into a circuit meant for 1500W, you’re going to trip your breakers or fry your wiring. Not a good day. We keep the physical dimensions exact—right down to the millimeter—so you can just slide them in without messing around with your lamp holders. Built to actually last We use heavy-wall quartz glass because these things take a beating from rapid heating and cooling. To keep the tungsten filament from burning out too fast, we use a halogen gas fill. It just lasts longer. As for the connectors? We stick to standard R7s or SK15 bases. They’re simple drop-in replacements. You pull the old one out, wire the new one up, and you’re back in business. Some of our tubes even have a special coating. It shifts the emission spectrum so the heat actually sinks into the PET wall instead of just scorching the surface. A few things to watch out for These lamps pack a punch. They’re great for speeding up your cycle times, but they put a lot of stress on your cooling fans. Here’s the thing: if your ventilation is clogged or just too weak, the heat builds up and kills the lamp’s lifespan. Plus, keep your reflectors clean.
